  • Empty pistachios, being lighter, float on the water’s surface. Upper paddles guide them to the first outlet.
  • Semi-kernel pistachios, having a medium weight, remain in the middle of the water and are transferred by middle paddles to the second outlet.
  • Full and heavy pistachios, which settle at the bottom of the water, are directed by a powerful pump to the washing cylinder or tunnel, where they are thoroughly washed under high-pressure water showers. They then exit from the third outlet.

This process not only accurately categorizes the pistachios but also cleans, whitens, and enhances the luster of their shells, which significantly boosts their market value.
